How do you digitize an outdated, paper-based application process for social assistance benefits efficiently and in a user-friendly way? In this project, I supervised the redesign from paper to digital, with a focus on improvement and stakeholder engagement. By collaborating and collecting user feedback, we created an accessible digital solution that simplifies the application process.

In this project, I was responsible for designing the digital version of the application process for social assistance, replacing the old paper form. My role included improving the process and providing an accessible digital solution.
Involving all relevant stakeholders was important in this project. This included collaboration with internal teams and external partners such as citizen advisory bodies. Together, we made sure that the new system met the needs of everyone involved.
The process started with an inventory of the internal wishes and requirements set by the legislator.
I also led the user research, which collected essential feedback from end users. These insights helped us optimize the user interface and functionality of the digital form, with a focus on ease of use and accessibility. The result was a form and improved user experience.
To get feedback, I created various sketches and prototypes to clarify for everyone involved what such a form could look like.
